Soundcheck May 10

Thanks for tuning into Soundcheck’s final show. I can’t quite believe it’s coming to a close, but it’s been four great years on a great station. It’s been a pleasure to host the show and discover new artists and listen to fantastic music with all of you.

For this last track list I’ve picked some songs which have been on heavy rotation on Soundcheck and emerging artists I’ve really enjoyed featuring on the show.

Thanks as always for listening. Until next time,

Ann

Souncheck Apr. 26

Happy Dandelion Day! Here‘s the track list for today’s show. Lots of new music this week including singles from Seafret, Lauren Aquilina and Wildes.

Singer-songwriter Ruth B.’s second EP Maybe I’ll Find You Again is out now. Lead single “Slow Fade” is a layered piano-percussion melancholy pop offering, while “Sycamore Tree” from today’s show is charming and lyrically striking. If you enjoyed this EP, her debut album Safe Haven from 2017 is worth a listen.

Things have been on the up and up for indie/alt pop band Half Alive since “Still Feel” blew up last year. They’ve since signed with RCA and released another excellent single, “Arrow.” MVs for both tracks have the band’s signature bouncy color palette and sharp cinematography.

Hope everyone has a great d-day! Until next time,

Ann
