Empire Film Music Ensemble presents From Darkness into Light
This symphony orchestra and chorus, a talented group of 100 musicians from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester, is performing a multimedia classical concert in association with the Optical Society of Rochester. The production will feature live-to-picture music from the 1930 German silent film, Lichtspiel, as well as an official selection of the 2015 G2 Green Earth Film Festival and winner of the IndieFEST Film Award of Excellence, Into the Microscope. Also featured will be the venerated music of John Williams, Alan Silvestri, and Eric Whitacre.
