The first question you may have - What's up with the name "Gepetto?" "Gepetto what?" A last name? Nope, no last name. Gepetto. One name, like God.
In reality the name Gepetto comes from a band Gepetto was in called "Gepetto." At their last show, the event organizer got it wrong on the programs and listed "Gepetto" as "The Gepetto Band" in which our heroic host was lead singer. The name has stuck ever since.
Gepetto started his ascent to radio stardom in September, 2000 as co-host of the "KPA Radio Zone" on a Long Island college station with a dear, dear friend named Joe Sacco (aka Joe Ballz, later changed to Joey B for FM). This show evolved to become "Avenue X Radio" and finally "The Joe Show." ("The Joe and Gepetto Show" was deemed too cumbersome). 13 months after starting on web-radio, this dynamic duo was asked to fill a vacant 4 hours FM slot on Thursdays in addition to their show on web, playing a mix of punk and classic rock. Finally, in January of 2002, "The Joe Show" made it to FM on Saturdays in prime time from 7 to 10pm, with the duo still doing their 4 hour show on Thursdays.
The rest is history.
"The Gepetto Project" is the modern day reincarnation and amalgamation of all the previous shows combined along with new music and an edgier attitude.
